5th Day (Thursday) “Duties of Today”
Gen 1:20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
Eph. 4:3, 1 Cor. 6:19
I will live this day as if it were my last. I will waste not a moment, mourning over yesterday’s misfortunes, or defeats. Today is another opportunity for me to become the person I know I can be. I am a man of love, and today is my last chance to prove my love for others. This is my day to excel.
Procrastination I will destroy with action. Doubt I will bury under faith. Fear I will dismember with trust in the Word of God. I will not listen to idle words. I will not linger with idle hands. To court idleness is to steal food, clothes and warmth from those I love. I am not a thief.
The duties of today I shall fulfill. I shall play with my children while they are young for tomorrow they will be gone. I shall embrace my spouse with sweet kisses for tomorrow there will only be memories.
I shall lift up a friend in need for tomorrow no longer will he or she cry for help. Today I shall give myself in sacrifice to my ministry for tomorrow I will have nothing to give.
I will live this day as if it were my last.
