| | Exercise: | Develops the physical, mental, social and spiritual tools for a healthy and prosperous life. “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In that day God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; male and female created He them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day they were created.’ Genesis 5:1,2 |

The Creator is whole, full and complete lacking nothing. And God made man in His likeness and image, whole. Jesus said time and time again to those whom He healed and delivered. “Be thou made whole”. To be whole should be the ultimate desire of man. We are physical, mental/emotional and spiritual beings, which equals human beings. Each part of our being must be properly exercised to grow, be strong and maintain its God likeness. |

| All parts of Man need exercise: | 1. The body is made of cells, water, tissue, muscle, bone, organs etc., all needing exercise to function properly. The body is likening to a self-maintenance machine, and while performing, it does preventive services and repairs. A daily exercise routine that brings the heart rate up fills the lungs and causes perspiration providing necessities and discharging non-essentials. A body that is crippled, deceased, and full of pain is not of much service to anyone. Taking your body serious is a sure sign you will have tools to build your positive life-style. |

2. The mental/emotional being must receive proper exercise. What have you been told about who you are, what you are, and where you will end up? How much of this have you believed, acted out on, or are now paying for? The word used to try explaining this is called dysfunctional; we used it to give justification for abnormal and often sinful behavior. • I came from a dysfunctional family. • I grew up in a community with many difficulties. • My education was substandard. • I was sheltered and not exposed to the realities of the world. • I was misused and abused. All could be legitimate reasons yet, they are merely excuses. The whole human race came from a dysfunctional family, sinful community, improperly educated, misinformed, and sheltered from truth. |

3. The social life must be exercised through developing and maintaining relationships. The reconciliation of families and significant others are an important part of social development. This is no easy task since we are all so different and have so many view points. |
|---|
4. The spiritual being must be exercised as well. “Study to show yourself approved unto God as a workman that need not to be ashamed, but rightly dividing the Word of truth.” 2 Tim. 2:15 One who is serious about being faithful will take advantage of early morning study time for direction, mid-day meditations on the Word for strength, and evening devotions to thank God for His Protection. We must remember the mind that stays focused on the teachings, principles, and character of Christ will live life more abundantly. |
